Embracing Authenticity and Gratitude

April 14, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$15 - $30

What happens when you team up one of the world’s youngest inspirational authors with an inspired teacher, speaker and transformational education advocate? You get Embracing Authenticity & Gratitude, a special one-night event featuring 10-year-old author of the book 365 Days of Gratitude, Muskan Virk, and CEO and Co-Founder of Aligned Education, Micki O’Brien, M.A.

The two have co-conspired to share their powerful healing messages of authenticity and gratitude with the “Emerald City,” to remind everyone of the importance of being yourself and focusing your energies on what and whom you intentionally have in your life. For when we do this, we become stronger, more loving and compassionate, and have even more to be grateful for!

This 2-hour event is designed for children, teens and adults alike, and will include: a few simple interactive exercises, Muskan and Micki speaking both separately and together (during a question and answer period), a short break in the middle and an opportunity for pictures/book signings at the end.

April is Autism Awareness Month (“which is funny because when you’re autistic, you’re autistic all year round!”, a little humor from an autistic friend) and honoring and supporting the unique strengths of autistic people is a big part of Micki’s life. We want you to know that you are invited to bring your authentic, unique self and your authentic, unique neurology! We are excited to share time with you!

Please note: If you, or someone you are accompanying, is easily overwhelmed by loud noise and/or crowds please bring ear plugs or another noise cancelling or noise reducing tool. We will do our best to provide a quiet space to retreat to in the event of overwhelm, and we also recommend using whatever tools or strategies work best for you/the person you are accompanying.

Please inquire by April 7th if you need special accommodations. We cannot promise that we can provide them, but we will do our darndest.
